I recently contacted Adam Bernard Solicitors on Barking Road and I hat a bad experience.
I waited for a withdrawal of my application for over a month, I called and asked when you would start working and received a complete lack of understanding of the matter.
Sent one letter for which I paid £400

I recently visited the Marylebone office to get a deed poll done and was so impressed with the service. The receptionist, Sara, was absolutely lovely and went out of her way to make sure we found the office easily, even helping with directions as we were coming by bus. When we arrived, the solicitor wasn’t able to proceed at first due to ID issues, but Sara kindly helped us use our bank statement instead and even printed it out for us. She was so kind, patient and professional throughout the whole process. With service like hers, I’ll definitely be returning in the future. I even bought her some chocolate to say thank you because she truly went above and beyond!

I asked for a quote from these people about three months ago. Because they were too expensive, I did not go ahead. However, since then they have been harassing me for months - by email, by text, by WhatsApp , by voicemail . Despite the fact I have emailed them, phoned them, WhatsApp them - they still do not stop. I then - out of desperation - gave them a negative review on Google - to which they responded apologising profusely, then deleted the review - then (quite unbelievably) continued to harass me! I now am going to report them to the ICO for data breach - since I NEVER signed up for this. I even called their office - the woman said she would put me through to the 'Complaints' Team, but then returned to say the Complaints team were too busy to take my call (!!) (too many complaints perhaps ? - I wonder why!??) .

If I could give less than one star, I would. I instructed Adam Bernard Solicitors for a serious case involving a driving offence that escalated due to poor handling and my experience with them was beyond disappointing.

At first, they said all the right things. The solicitor I spoke to sounded reassuring, but something felt off communication wise. Still, I went ahead and paid £1,500 because of the actions and steps that had been confirmed by the solicitor during my consultation.

I had to chase them constantly for updates. Not once did they reach out voluntarily until after they messed up.
I was made to feel like an inconvenience for simply trying to get clarity on my own case. No ownership. No urgency. Just silence unless I pushed for information.

I also informed them very early on that I would be out of the country due to a family bereavement, and wouldn’t be available for the original hearing date. I asked them to inform the court and CPS. They didn’t. The hearing went ahead in my absence, and only after the damage was done did they try to rectify it and the courts agreed to reopen the case due to their incompetence.

There were constant changes in staff, It felt like my case was just a number and a cheque. No care, no diligence ultimately I lost any trust and confidence.

The best decision I made was terminating my relationship with this firm. I found a new solicitor, reopened the case, and ultimately won and it was a breath of fresh air receiving calls, updates and guidance from my new firm and team effort led to me being found not guilty . If I’d stayed with Adam Bernard, I believe the outcome would have been very different.

Please if your instincts tell you something’s off, listen. Do not pay everything upfront, and don’t hesitate to move on if things don’t feel right. I would never recommend this firm and hope others can avoid what I went through.

I recently contacted Adam & Solicitors to have ID1 and ID2 forms completed. I spoke with an agent who confirmed they could carry out the forms and quoted me a price, which I agreed to. I even visited the site, met with their solicitor, and the forms were completed as discussed. Everything appeared straightforward and professional—until it wasn’t.

Afterward, I was contacted by someone claiming to be the solicitor’s “head” who gave unclear and contradictory information, suddenly stating that additional paperwork was required and the forms could not be completed after all. Her tone was rude, unprofessional, and borderline threatening. The conduct of this individual made me feel uneasy and completely undermined the earlier agreement.

Due to this unacceptable treatment, I approached a different solicitor—who had no issues completing the same forms correctly and professionally, without all the confusion and drama.

In my opinion, this firm, particularly the branch on Barking Road, appears to operate with misleading practices and a lack of integrity. They are more interested in creating confusion and extracting money than offering genuine legal assistance. Sadly, I expect their response to this review will be the same generic line: “We take your feedback seriously” – but in reality, they do not.

If you value your time, money, and peace of mind, avoid this firm like the plague.

My drink and drive case was handled by their solicitor Mian Wahab, i would like to share what went wrong and how i wasted my time, my hard earned saving and ended up getting a 3 years ban!

After sharing my whole case details, i was not sure that 2 readings were taken at the custody and i shared this information with their so called professional lawyer named Mian Wahab.
After 2 days we spoke and he confirmed that he checked the system and the police procedures and assured me that only 1 reading was taken at the custody. This was a completely fake statement from him. He did not check anything, not even with the police and the recording of the procedure. He should have check this before confirming me.
The whole case turned up wrong at the day of hearing and i ended up looking like a fool in the court.

At the trial day, he explained me what can be done next, after his thoughts i choosed to accept guilty and the judge directly gave me a disqualification untill the hearing.

He should have some knowledge that after accepting guilty the judge will give me disqualification immediately, i thought his idea's of winning the case with special reasons i have some hope after his big blunder of not checking about the readings with the police.
A solicitor named Ryan was also with him in the court with the hearing who was representing me but i was in contact throughout my case with Mian Wahab.

I paid so much of fees to them, all my savings with my credit card ended up in debts because of this man and he also didn't cared to reply my email which i did 12 days before my sentence day. I asked him to atleast tell me how can i take the course and save my ban period as much as i can but he just didn't care to reply me!

I also remember one other thing, after my trial finished and when i came out he was shocked and told me that HE DIDN'T KNOW WHERE THIS INCIDENT OCCURRED! Like seriously??? I was speechless, how come he also didn't check where this incident occur! Such a shame.

Who will pay my debts which i took to pay the legal fees, i got a 3 years ban yesterday, i lost my job.
I am not blaming Mian Wahab for my ban, i am blaming him for not checking all the details of my case and giving me wrong confirmations and misguiding me throughout my case. I blame him for loosing my hard earned money for fighting this case where in actual there was no scope of winning. I just regret now of choosing this firm i had many hopes. I am shattered, just ignore consulting your driving solicitor from this firm.

I had a very speedy document certification without booking an appointment. I was assisted by Ray who was very helpful and explained everything to us perfectly. I had my document certified within minutes.

I noticed my review was deleted by this company on Google - so I’ll leave it again.
I went to Adam Bernard for the signature witness service, and was charged £72 (!!!) for 2 documents.
I was then informed by the authority I sent the forms back to that they were the wrong forms. For over £70, I’d expect the solicitor to have told me that the forms were incorrect. I explained to her my situation, and she told me she deals with these forms all the time, so she would have known. It is lazy and sloppy work from Adam Bernard, only interested in making a quick buck.
I completed the correct form and spoke to a different firm, who advised their charge was £10 for the signature witness. They made me swear on oath on a bible (as they’re supposed to), which Adam Bernard did not do either.
Do not use this firm and expect attention to detail or a good honourable service, and definitely don’t get a document signature witnessed here!
