Great idea and seems they have good intentions with paper packaging, free trial, donating to charities etc. however the flavours I've tried (strawberry sundae, chocolate swirl and coffee one?) didn't taste great, the free shaker's lid wouldn't close properly and the powder was always clumpy and unpleasant no matter how much you shake it.

Been using this product for just over a year and It has become a daily part of my diet. The fact that I can take the sachet out in my bag and have my shake on the go is perfect!! 10/10

Honest review. Not for me.
It's a great idea and the service/ethos is all great. But the product is really quite poor.
No matter how much shaking or how much extra liquid you add, the shake is still lumpy and powdery. As someone who regularly uses shake supplements, this is just too clumpy.
The free shaker isn't great either. Just get a cheap one off Amazon and use it as at least the lid will click closed when pushed. This one just rests in the hole.
The paper packaging is another great idea as it is recyclable and I am all for it, but it makes pouring the powder into the receptacle very messy. I've tried several ways of opening it and the only way to really do it is with scissors to stop it going everywhere but it doesn't say this on the instructions.
I really wanted to like this product and was hoping for better but now I'm just glad I got the trial box.

I was kindly gifted some abnormal shakes to try and I am super impressed. I love this brand and how environmentally friendly they are. Everything down to the packaging, shakes and ethos is well thought out for help impact the planet for the better.

I had the Chocolate flavour, not a super rich flavour but tasty all the same.

I love this product. I’m autistic and struggle with sensory sensitivity around food, particularly in the morning so I use abnormal for breakfast and sometimes for lunch.

The taste is better than anything else on the market - I’m very, very fussy and I love all the flavours available (apart from chocolate but that’s a me thing).

The texture of the shakes can sometimes be clumpy and powdery, this can be fixed by a blender and doesn’t put me off although I would encourage abnormal to perhaps work on this by improving the shaker.

The service has always been great and the free starter kit made it accessible for me to try without wasting money.

I kind of wish there was some testimonials from autistic and disabled people because products like this can help us immensely with our lives but we’re often not seen as valuable consumers. Saying that though the abnormal branding does feel more inclusive than others on the market which seem to pitch exclusively to gym goers or people looking for weight loss.

Great taste but bring your own shaker!!
This review is my own opinion and experience, to know for yourself if this product is for you, the best thing to do is try it out.
I ordered the starter pack with the free shaker and only payed for the delivery of £4.99 which is bad considering you get 7 sachets and a free shaker. The shaker does need some improvements, for example the lid never feels properly shut and almost flimsy like, and the mesh inside catches powder in clumps which can be unpleasant when you end up drink a small clump of powder. The body and feel of holding the shaker is totally fine, no discomfort.
The sachets themselves I wish were clearer on what flavour was inside as they are all very similar in appearance. Now, taste test...first one I made up was Caramel Latte, left it in the fridge for a few hours after making it and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Amazing flavour and texture and afterwards I felt adequately full with no desire to snack or make a normal meal. I made using a 300ml dilution of an alternative to milk instead of the suggested water. I was hesitant water wouldn't be creamy enough but I will try a sachet in water to find out. The second I made and drank straight away was the Strawberry flavour, again great taste unlike most other protein or meal replacements which have that strange "proteiney" taste in the drink. However the drink was full of clumps despite shaker vigorously for well over a minute. Maybe leaving to sit in the fridge for a while helps to dissolve any clumps that may have formed. I feel going forward I would certainly use this product if I wanted a meal replacement product, but the price is a bit much for my current circumstances so I would do without. But great tasting product, which I believe many people will find better tasting than other leading brands.

These are the best tasting and textured, from powder, shakes that I have tried, and as a runner and triathlete, I’ve tried a lot! These shakes are easy to make, travel well, and taste great. Give them a good shake to mix well, I need to try making in advance and leaving in the fridge too.
That these are tailored to individual nutritional needs is an added and novel bonus and certainly helps me to feel that what I’m drinking is a quality product. I also appreciate the sustainability of the brand with the paper recyclable packages.
I’ve dropped a star off for the quality of the shaker provided. It needs to be slimmer at the base to fit in a car drinks holder for instance, something essential for an ‘on the go’ product I would expect. The lid also isn’t secure enough to give confidence when shaking, even with a firm finger hold! Improve the shaker and this will be an amazing all round product that I’m very glad I discovered.

The shakes were fine, taste good, texture good. They would be 5 star but I'm having some major problems logging on to the account to cancel the subscription. I tried to log on to get faced with password incorrect, changed password and still have the issue. I've emailed so depending how quickly they can resolve this my rating will change.

EDIT!!! I had initially given 3 stars as I was waiting on a response from support about not being able to log into the account and was waiting on a reply, you know how some companies can be (the ones who leave you in limbo for days or weeks)
No word of a lie I had a response within 15 minutes from Lewis who Also replied here and hes fixed it. I have changed the review to 5 star of my own accord. Thank you again Lewis.

Like any great product and service, you always regret you didn’t discover them sooner. The customer support is fast and and always helpful. Will be using them throughout 2022.

Great service. I used abnormal originally as I noticed that I was overeating at lunchtime during work from home lockdowns. I’m 3 months in and have lost 10kg.

I have been trying abnormal for a couple of months now alongside other brands. Service is quick, efficient, and always on time. Compared to other brands, Abnormal has better taste, a more comprehensive selection of flavours to choose from and it is better adjusted to individual needs in terms of vitamins and macros. It is more expensive than the competition, so I wouldn't mind some student discounts coming up soon. The packaging is fully recyclable, and portions are individually packed in paper-based packaging, making it easier to grab one with me when I'm away—all in all, excellent and very fulfilling meal replacement for people with no time to cook. Great stuff 👍

Oh I LOVE abnormal. Is making my life so much easier. I’m busy, very busy and I’m a bugger for reaching for rubbish, but now I reach for Abnormal, knowing that I’m putting something good and specifically made for me into my body. Also fabulous for fuelling exercise too. Aside from that, the team at Abnormal are abnormally helpful and friendly. A lovely product made by lovely people. ❤️

I love abnormal as a meal replacement. It’s personalised to suit my lifestyle, tasty and filling. And I know that I’m getting all the right nutrients in a very convenient meal. And it’s also versatile as to how you want to have it; as a drink or as a porridge, or add some fruits to make a smoothie.
