The best cab service
I just wanted to share my positive experience using Abetta Cars to get to the Coldplay concert. Since I prefer not to drive or use public transport when going to concerts ,I decided to rely on their services again, and I can confidently say they did not disappoint.
Having used Abetta Cars for concerts in the past, I already had high expectations, and they lived up to them. The cab was right on time, and the driver was both efficient and friendly. Their professionalism really made the journey smooth and stress-free, allowing me to focus on enjoying the concert.

Arrived back from Pisa late on Thursday…
Arrived back from Pisa late on Thursday night,slightly fractious and tired and my driver was exactly where I was told he would be. He took the cases, we went to the car,he offered me a bottle of water, told me how long the journey would take and off we went.
Driver was charming and courteous and brilliant.
It’s the kind of service I’ve come to expect from Abetta cars, but nice to have it reconfirmed with every trip.
And by the way, the driver said they were a lovely company to work for.

Not a great experience.
I have been using this company for about 20 years and like to support local companies. The staff in the office are friendly, but my latest experience was not great. I paid over £200 for two transfers (one to Luton and the other to Stansted) for a people carrier. On the outbound journey, the driver did not offer any help and watched me load my bags. The company explained that this was a temporary driver. On the return journey, the car that was sent had no working air conditioning. Not a great experience just getting off a flight on a hot summer day. While the company accepted the feedback, offering a £10 discount for the fact that both journeys had problems was a bit of an insult. I don't mind paying a premium to use a company like Abetta, but I do expect them to have courteous drivers and cars that are in good condition.
Update * 08/08/2025 After reading the reply, it is curious to hear that the claim that the air conditioning was working but was not functioning due to a "closed vent". More curious is that the driver had the windows open down the M25 and had the vent been closed why didn't he open it? A/C does not work well when the windows are open. More likely answer is that the car sent for the return journey had a REG of GD18 D** which indicates that car is over 7 years old. The car sent to pick us up had REG of KO18 U**, also 7 years old. Rather than making up an excuse, it would have better just to put your hands up and say you got it wrong and that the air conditioning did not work. I "proactively" will not use you again. Certainly a unique engagement strategy to call a 20 year client a liar for giving feedback.

Regarding the outbound trip, you’re absolutely right — a temporary driver was assigned that day due to exceptional circumstances, and we’ve since ensured this won’t happen again. You should always expect a courteous and helpful service, and we regret that this wasn’t your experience.
As for the return journey, we did follow up directly with you and confirmed that the air conditioning in the vehicle was fully operational — the issue arose due to a closed vent, which understandably led to the assumption that the system wasn’t working. We appreciate you taking the time to speak with us and allowing us to clarify this.
The goodwill gesture was offered as a sincere apology. We take all feedback seriously and will continue to review how we handle these situations.
We truly hope to have the opportunity to restore your confidence in our service.

To clarify, our MPV fleet spans a wider range of vehicle ages than our standard saloon/executive fleet. This is common practice in the industry, as MPVs are specialist vehicles that are harder to source and are maintained to a high standard regardless of age.
All vehicles, including the one used for your return journey, undergo regular inspections by our office team to ensure they meet our operational standards. This includes checking the air conditioning system. We can confirm it was functioning at the time of your journey.
Regarding your observation about the vehicle’s age: the registration year has no bearing on the performance of the air conditioning system. An older, well-maintained vehicle’s A/C will function just as effectively as a newer one, provided it is serviced correctly — which ours are.
We appreciate your feedback and have reminded our drivers that, when passengers appear uncomfortable, they should proactively check ventilation and temperature settings during the trip.
