Optima legal, are very professional, quick response to questions raised when remortgaging.
The portal system works very well and is easy to use, with plenty information to help you in there.
They let you know what is required, with notifications via sms and/or emails.
Pleasure to have them take care of the remortgaging processes.

Update: I have not received any separate request for further information from either Optima or Trustpilot. I would be very happy to provide my case reference directly so this matter can finally be investigated properly. This seems to be a cut and last response from them for all complaints!

I’ve had an extremely frustrating experience with Optima and would strongly advise others to think twice before using them.

Communication has been consistently poor — I’ve yet to speak to anyone who is proactive, and when I do manage to get through to someone, the advice is often contradictory. I’ve been promised multiple call-backs that simply haven’t happened, including one scheduled for 3:15pm today which never materialised.

Their automated processes are also unreliable — even basic steps like ID verification have not worked properly. Most concerning of all, they have failed to complete my mortgage today due to what can only be described as a complete disregard for customer service.

As a result, I’m now going into a bank holiday weekend with no clarity on when completion will happen, and facing significant financial impact — likely at least £500 in unnecessary interest costs.

This has been a stressful and entirely avoidable situation. I would strongly recommend steering clear of this company.

My remortgage using Optima legal was very smooth. They kept me updated all the way through. Easy to get hold off and made the process so uncomplicated from start to finish. The portal is the best thing ever.

Great experience

This has been an absolutely unacceptable level of service. We have been unable to contact anyone despite repeated attempts, and today—when we are due to exchange contracts for our mortgage renewal—we have received no communication whatsoever.

As a direct result of this lack of responsiveness and professionalism, we now face the very real risk of being forced onto a variable rate mortgage, which will cost us a significant amount of money. This situation has been caused by the solicitors’ lack of communication, urgency, and basic customer care.

We have raised this issue with Barclays, who originally recommended this firm, due to the serious concerns about how our case has been handled.

It is completely unacceptable that such a critical process is being managed with this level of disregard. All that was required was clear communication and timely action—neither of which has been provided. Instead, we have been left in the dark at a crucial stage.

We are now seeking legal advice with a view to recovering any financial losses their failures may cause us. I would strongly advise others to think carefully before using this firm.
