The worst in NZ. The worst team ever. So bad that the debt collectors told my brother not to worry about a bill that 2degrees caused, it's rare when debt collectors support you. Too many foreigners that don't know what they're doing too. They also try to sell you and send you things that you don't need, then they try to charge you for it.

No structure, no professionalsm, nothing good at all.

Everybody is absolutely money hungry. No care for their customers at all. I can't wait to switch providers in September.

STAY AWAY FROM 2DEGREES AT ALL COSTS!

I’ve been with 2degrees mobile for a long time and was contacted by their existing customer sales broadband team. They spent the time explaining the best broadband deal they could give and how to switch ISPs without disruption to my internet connectivity. (Very important as a WFH worker.)
Everything has gone smoothly with the switch to 2degrees & no internet disruptions.
I’ve had no issues in the 2 months since joining them and when I had a question to explain my bill, I was able to actually email them, I got a DEDICATED person to help me and my question was answered fully.
Note; my previous ISP only offered help via chat/messaging (painful) and halfway through the chat the agent would switch, meaning trying to explain again via short messages...
The modem I’m renting through them is by a decent brand (TP Link) and cheap.
I’m paying 23% less than my other ISP for the same amount, speed and quality of internet and, in my experience, with better customer service.
Note: discounts based on 12 month sign ups which is fine by me :D

I changed broadband plans within 2degrees. In spite of having only one plan active at a time, I was double charged for almost an entire month (28 days where I was charged for both plans). I am still in the process of sorting it now and have just contacted the Telecommunications Disputes Resolution. After multiple emails asking them to put it through to the accounts team (with actual accountants) I am still getting the run around

I was having issues with my broadband. What could have been resolved in 24 hours, took 3 weeks & multiple calls. They suggested it was my Modem setting that were the problem, despite being able to go online (intermittently). Lied about contacting Tuhitahi, lied to saying I may be charged $130 if ONT was faulting.
In the end it cost a lot of $, time & effort for something that could have been solved on the first call, if...
1) they actually listened to their customer
2) applied some common (perhaps "uncommon in this case) sense to know if my setting were incorrect I would never be able to get online.
3) did as they said & contacted Tuhitahi. It was a subsequent call that unearthed the lies of the first call.

Tuhitahi technician confirmed all I suggested & fault was fixed in less time then 1 of the phone calls to 2 Degrees.

$200+ (install another router), 3 weeks, and 4 phone calls to fixed something that could have been done in less then 24 hours for free.

UPDATE: Yesterday, I called Tuatahi to query why my speeds are so low (should be 500/100 Mbps) but found 2 Degrees never bothered sending the work order to upgrade the fibre speed. You would think it would be an easy/quick resolve, but not with 2 Degrees. They want me to run all sorts of tests & checks, make screenshots of all results, etc, when they could simply check to see if they actually sent out the order (which I asked for a copy of but never received) or phone Tuatahi, AS I DID !!!.

I was a long-time 2degrees customer and would strongly warn others before signing up for their broadband.

My internet was cut off without warning and I spent nearly a week calling them every single day trying to get it resolved. Every time I got through, I had to explain the situation from scratch — no one checked the notes from the previous call. The wait times were consistently long and the support was completely ineffective.

On 6 April, a rep picked up and hung up on me without saying a word. No help, no explanation, nothing. After all of that, they still couldn't identify what was causing the issue.

I switched to Skinny Broadband on 7 April. The modem arrived the next day and I was up and running almost immediately. Their support has been responsive and helpful from day one — a completely different experience.

To make things worse, when I went to cancel 2degrees, they tried to charge an early cancellation fee — after weeks of no service and zero resolution on their end.

Avoid 2degrees if you can — poor support, no accountability, and they'll still try to charge you on the way out.

I have to use a third party internet calling app called Talk360 to continue with my phone

Terrible Broadband technical support and customer service!

I signed a Broadband contract for a year. They mentioned that if I have any problems configuring my modem at home to call them which I did the first day. The customer service person said they don’t talk through problem solving on the phone but will send me a detail list of instructions on how to solve any issues, which unless you are in IT makes no sense as the information was too technical to understand let alone know which step to start with first.

I phoned the CS the next day to ask for any options to help and was told unless I buy a 2 degrees modem (Obi modem) the help they offer is limited but couldn’t recommend anything else after that. Very unhelpful and then just hung up. I wouldn’t recommend using their broadband service.

Absolutely great brand and company.
They provide so much value for your hard earned money.

For years the cheapest mobile phones this company has had available are the Alcatel brand, which is total trash. There must be better cheap brands they could provide their loyal customers with. Don't buy Alcatel!!!

Great support, would recommend. I called their 200 number and was on hold for only 5 minutes, much better than Spark's hour long hold time. Support is very helpful and app is great.

The most incompetent customer service dept ever.

Embarrassing for a communications company

Corporate sharks.
If you don't have a law degree to navigate through their terms & conditions, chances are you'll get overcharged somehow. Don't trust them; they are sneaky, borderline dishonest in making sure they don't tell you everything, overly complicated, and confusing on purpose; a predatory company.

You will find something wrong with your bill, and they will make it difficult to understand it, or to fix it. Unpleasant surprise after unpleasant surprise where you have to call to make sense of it, and to have those off charges removed. And every time you call, be ready to waste at least an hour just to get through to someone. Waiting times are absolutely appalling...

Little extra: Payment isn't working for some reason today. So now I'm "overdue" even though I'm actually not. Keep entering my card details and nope, there's a problem with the system.

Another bug; Free Prime Video has been charged on my bill. Got 12 months for free, I have an account, it's activated, but oh surprise now it's being charged.

So what do I do with these technical issues? Only 1 thing I can do.
I have to call.
48 minutes on hold, and I'm told I'm 10th in line...
Well done 2degrees. Way to make customers give up so you just keep the money you took "by mistake".

It's been over a year, many "mistakes" and hours and hours of my time sorting them out. Customers should not have to fight so hard not to get swindled.
Done with 2degrees, never again.
