Scotgate cottage, an amazing weekend …
We've just returned from a wonderful weekend at Scotgate celebrating a milestone birthday, and it honestly couldn’t have been more perfect. The property itself is absolutely stunning, beautifully decorated throughout to a high standard, but still warm, cosy. You can really tell the owners have put a lot of thought into making sure everything you might need is provided.
The house had all the space we needed to come together and have fun, but also plenty of cosy little nooks to relax in. Our weekend there simply wasn’t long enough to make the most of everything Scotgate has to offer.
Scotgate is the kind of place you arrive at and instantly feel at home, we’re already talking about when we can return. Highly recommended for anyone looking to celebrate, unwind, or just enjoy a truly memorable getaway with friends or family .

Fabulous experience

I made a reservation with them paid in full, only to be told a week to my booking the accommodation has been cancelled and offered another with no central heating in winter. The worst experience I have encountered, I do not recommend the place if they cannot spell your name.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry for the inconvenience caused by the unforeseen circumstances of your original booking. Unfortunately, due to this, the property you initially reserved became unavailable.
As soon as this occurred, we offered an alternative accommodation, which featured electric heaters and a gas fire in the lounge to ensure comfort. We completely understand that this may not have met your expectations, and when you chose not to proceed, we promptly arranged for a full refund through Booking.com. This refund is currently being processed by the platform.
Regarding the spelling of your name, all correspondence was addressed exactly as it appeared on the Booking.com reservation. It appears the booking platform displayed your surname first, but please rest assured that all spellings used were correct and based on the details we received.
We do regret that your experience did not reflect the high standards we strive to maintain, and we appreciate your understanding of the situation.

Problems do happen but this was resolved very efficiently
Had a phone call to say my reservation was going to be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. The lady Ruby, was very apologetic. I was offered three other caravans for the same dates all upgrades to my chosen one. I picked one and booked it effortlessly and they gave me complimentary early access and late departure. Wonderful company and Ruby was a star as I asked a few questions and she answered straight away. Will be using again
