We would rather live in a house flooded with water and excrement than use this company again.
We are leaving this review not expecting 247FastFix to read or even acknowledge it, let alone do anything to change their money grabbing practices. Companies like this can rip people off while staring them in the eyes.
Our toilet blocked on a Saturday. We tried several things to fix it, none of which worked, so we Googled an out of hours, emergency plumber in Manchester. During the call we were told that there was a £40 call out fee and the job could cost up to £700. A little steep bit it was a Saturday.
Almost immediately after their plumber arrived (failing to make the 30 minute promise made on their website) he started talking about having to hire a special machine to do the job if he couldn't do it manually. It was terribly vague as to if this was included in the £700 estimate or not. And he wouldn't commit.
He made a cursory attempt and trying to use rods to unblock the toilet, and quickly switched to climbing a ladder to look at the pipework outside the building. Initially he admitted that he had broken the curved piece of pipe, but this swiftly changed to 'it was already broken'. He then gave a half hearted attempt to do something manually before appearing to give up and told us he'd have to get the machine in.
He was still particularly vague about if this was included in the estimate, so we phoned the office for clarification. Here, we were told that it wasn't an estimate of £700 but instead a set fee. So far the plumber had been with us a little over an hour at this point. Quite an hourly rate! We were then quoted £270 for the machine. This would take the whole cost to £1,010.
We had to haggle quite strongly to get the manager to agree that the £700 included putting everything back together and reattaching the toilet the plumber had already removed. They kept hinting at other costs and we had to stand firm.
We were told that the machine would take around 30 minutes to arrive. It did not, it took over an hour. During this time, for reasons which were never explained, the plumber also took the downpipe off from outside our house and went to buy a new one. We can't prove this, but we assume that he hadn't heard our confirmation of a final price with his manager and was trying to add on further costs.
Eventually the machine man and the plumber arrived at the same time and began work again. The machine made machine noises and the two workmen bickered and sighed at each other (this appeared to be the plumber being scolded for breaking the pipework which they weren't getting paid for) and finally put everything back together.
We were completely unsurprised to then be told that there was an issue with our flushing function and this would need replacing, at £65 parts and £195 labour. We said no, it was working exactly the same as before only without a blockage.
No one at 247FastFix seemed to consider over £1,000 to be unreasonable to unblock a toilet will most definitely do it again to more families, many of whom might not have been able to stem to rapidly increasing unnecessary add-on. As they say, avoid. We would rather live in a house flooded with water and excrement than use this company again.
I had a very negative experience with…
I had a very negative experience with this company. The engineer who came to my home behaved rudely and made me feel uncomfortable. He charged £355 just for a basic inspection, which is far above a reasonable rate. He then pressured me to give him the repair job and quoted £1,000 for the fix. When I questioned the price, he became aggressive and threatening.I contacted Anthony, who is the boss, but his behaviour was exactly the same. Instead of helping, he was rude, dismissive, and continued to pressure me. I felt intimidated by both individuals. Their conduct was unprofessional, unfair, and made me feel unsafe in my own home. I would not recommend this company to anyone.
The plumber was very good and…
The plumber was very good and knowledgeable but the fee’s were extortionate. £220 per hour emergency call out fee. They never sent me a. Invoice despite numerous requests, they charged me for the whole bag of parts despite only using a few bits in each pack, they seem to employ people who’s credentials are questionable as you have to pay a personal account yet the plumber knows nothing about it.
Overall I would advise everyone to avoid this company at all costs, don’t make the same mistake as I did.
Major rip off
Didn't tell me price beforehand, claimed subcontractor would tell me, the subcontractor talked to me about £295 per hour, job was 45 minutes and they charged £895. 247fastfix and subcontractor each blamed the other. Should have cost about £250. Avpid at all costs.

What a scam will not being paying the full amount only paid half only cost they had my card details and took 200 from it they only fixed a light and didn’t say the price other wise we would off shown them the door this company needs shutting down on the phone he was pressing me to pay 100% scam I’m shocked but I also feel like a fool by not looking them up you trust company’s well not no more stay away from this
Repeatedly dishonest time-wasters
Repeatedly dishonest time-wasters. Strongly advise against. I was told a plumber was in the area and would be with me within 30-60 minutes. Two and a half hours later I still hadn't heard anything further. I called back and was told it would be another twenty minutes. I then got a call saying the plumber was 'in the area' and would be there in thirty minutes. Forty-five minutes later I am posting this warning to others. Am sourcing a professional to resolve the issue.
The main issue was with communication and poor behaviour
The main issue was with communication, management and pricing. We were told the call out fee would be £50 and other costs would be made clear. On arrival the plumber spoke almost no English and simply looked at the drain. He did make a fair mess and pulled out a lot of sludge and then used a rod on the drain. Overall this was 15 minutes work at most. At no point was additional money mentioned. Then the plumber called someone and handed me his phone and someone on the phone asked me for payment method. I declined and said we would call the company ourselves. When we called them we were asked for >£700. I said we would not pay and the situation became very threatening. The price kept dropping but the company called the plumber and told him not to leave our house without payment. Eventually we managed to get the plumber out of the house but we were threatened with legal action and felt physically threatened. We did pay a much higher rate than would be usual for this work in the end as we wanted to make sure the plumber actually got some money. This company is to be avoided and should be shut down for threatening and very poor behaviour. We will never use them again
Not letting us know the price beforehand
The repairman went ahead investigated and fixed the water pipe without explaining/ informing us of the cost beforehand. Only afterwards did the company called us back and told us the fee, which turned out to be very high. It feels rather dishonest, and I’m not at all pleased with how this was handled. I certainly wouldn’t recommend their service..
Absolute SCAM artists - DO NOT USE THEM!!!!!!!
Absolutely appalling experience. Please, PLEASE avoid this company if you are vulnerable or in an emergency situation!!!
I called them during a building-wide water outage after my kitchen tap suddenly started running uncontrollably and vibrating loudly following a temporary return of the water supply. I was alone in my flat, panicked, and genuinely worried about flooding or damage.
The plumber arrived and replaced two washers — a job that took minutes — but what they DON’T tell you upfront is the hidden “emergency labour fee” that magically appears AFTER the work is already done.
I was charged:
£50 call-out fee
£50 for washers
£295 “emergency labour” fee that was NEVER clearly explained beforehand
And then, unbelievably, after taking nearly £395 from me, the plumber still had the cheek to ask me for an extra £5 for parking while I was sobbing, standing in my flat waiting for payment.
As a woman on my own, I felt extremely pressured and uncomfortable during the interaction. The payment was demanded onsite immediately, and I felt very intimidated by these men.
It gets worse, despite repeatedly chasing them by phone and email afterwards, I still have not received a proper invoice or receipt. Every time I call, I’m told “it’s being sent over”, yet nothing arrives, and the tone on the phone has since become aggressive and dismissive, and they hang up on you very quickly.
This company seems to rely on people calling in stressful emergency situations and then hitting them with huge undisclosed charges once the work is already complete, I genuinely don't know how they sleep at night.
Please be careful. Ask for FULL written costs upfront before allowing any work to begin, because what starts as a “call-out” can very quickly turn into a near £400 bill for a tiny repair.
Absolute robbing scum.

had an emergency leakage with my toilet. I called this company or agency. The person who picked the phone sounded proffessional then. within the next 30mins a plumber came who was very friendly. while he was trying to fix my toilet something happened and the pipe outside moved out of the way.He ended up not doing it because he didnt have a ladder. he charged me 250 pounds for the parts which he bought and call out visit. i told them I would like a receipt before I paid because it was sounding a bit expensive. and they agreed. the plumber then said I should pay into his personal account because the company was more like agency. after paying i gave them my email but they are not sending me the receipt.
DO NOT USE SCAMED £345 and water still…
DO NOT USE SCAMED £345 and water still leaking. Taken money and done a runner. So rude See you in court next month. AVOID and avoid the fake plumber named Ali Hasan who owns EWOOD GAS Services - which is linked to this company.
Please avoid at all costs
Please avoid at all costs! Quoted me £60 call out fee plus parts for a leaking toilet flusher ended with a bill of £445 for 45mins work. Threatened with debt collectors and £200 surcharge if I didn't pay. Mugged in my own home! AVOID AVOID AVOID
Manipulative, coercive scammers
Manipulative and coercive manager who tried to charge us over 400 pounds for a 5 minute job, AFTER taking bank details and lying about the price before the work had been done. Ended up paying 245 after "negotiation" but reporting them to trading standards. To top it off work wasn't even done properly. Guy on the phone is a nasty scammer, trying to manipulate customers. Avoid at all costs.
Pants down
Well well well… where do we start!
Called out for blocked toilet/macerator problem.
Whilst the plumber attending was sound and quite knowledgeable the fella on the phone was less than helpful and quite aggressive. Quick to explain payment details stating I had the best engineer around to fix the problem., what a helmet
Salesman spiel at its finest.
The plumber on site did resolve the problem granted but failed to silicone the sanitary ware back into place in both the bathroom and en-suite . For £700 I would have expected a proper finish. I actually supplied pipe and fittings to push the job along which is mental looking back! I’m surprised I wasn’t charged parts looking at the reviews!
Was promised a report of works carried out and invoice for works completed, nothing received 5 days later.
The plumber on site asked me to transfer payment into his personal account which I did because he was sound 🚩looking back I had my pants down left right and centre ! Lol
Absolute whoppers!
Called the number and asked for the invoice couldn’t get me off the phone quick enough the geezer was absolutely flapping!
I’ll try again tomorrow

This service is a pure scam
This service is a pure scam. The electrician that arrived had no clue what he was doing or saying. He was extremely unprofessional as well. His dispatcher also just kept presenting his option as the only possible outcome and tried to show off their supposed credentials. They asked for £750 to change the ‘main Hanley’ (equipment that they shouldn’t touch as it belongs to the grid), however he pointed to my apartment’s isolator panel instead of the actual Henley block. His acting was on point though! Nearly had me fooled given the time and that I was out of electricity. This company should be investigated and thoroughly penalised.
Unable to cancel
We booked for a socket to be replaced but after looking into reviews we decided to ring back and cancel...
We was told we cannot cancel and after a bit of back and forth we was told to never use the business again and they hung up. I am still unsure if someone will turn up.
Regardless they were unhelpful and not friendly in the slightest.
Ridiculous, scam
Ridiculous. Called to remove blockage from my macerator toilet. Came with no equipments whatsover, had one look at the toilet and suggested I need to have a new macerator £1180 total.
Didnt even look behind the toilet at the macerator, didnt try to remove the blockage, didnt step into the toilet, literally just peered in from the door.
Wish I could report the company somewhere!
Still took the call out charge even when NO ATTEMPT was made to clear the blockage. Said he needed a bucket to clear it, well shouldn't a plumber bring one then!?
Rogue Trader
An atrocious company if I could award minus stars I would. Their fees were exorbitant.
I contacted the company numerous times regarding the completion of a job to fix a smelly Saniflow toilet which needed a small part. Allegedly the part was on order and would be available a couple of days after the initial diagnosis of the problem. I was informed numerous times that either the plumber or the company representative would ring me but to no avail. After a week of stalling tactics I cancelled the supposed job after it cost us £275, a ridiculous amount for a call out and diagnosis of an issue. Do NOT use this company at all as they are totally dishonest and not to be trusted and if possible consider contacting Trading Standards as they need to be shut down. The only positive is the subcontracted plumber was very nice .
Total Rip off merchants
Called out to fix an electrical problem, was quoted 50 pounds call out plus labour to fix. Well, they fixed it in under an hour, charged me £295 labour plus the 50 callout fee! Argued with the guy on the phone but to no avail. Do NOT use this company, supreme scammers exploiting people who need an emergency service.
2 star only for the person who come out
I’m only doing 2 starts because the guy who come to my home was actually sincere and wasn’t rude or horrible to me in the slightest!
I have a blocked waste pipe and explained this on the phone before I had someone come out , he arrived and looked and said he cannot touch it , I told him I explained on the phone it was an outdoor waste block that has overflown & the guy in office clearly didn’t make it seem as big as it was, I had to pay the £40 call out fee
However I got a man on the phone asking me to give £125 for call out and investigation, thankfully the guy who come was not as rude nor demanding and was really kind and apologetic to me! So for that I am grateful
But I wish I did my normal background checks before calling but because I have a toddler in my home I was just in rush to make sure that he would be safe due to it being wastage , definitely wouldn’t recommend calling this company for a call out I’m just so glad it was not at a cost that I can see in many other reviews left!
