Believe the 1 star reviews. Gave notice and received an email saying if we didn't pay the invoice within 14 days it would be sent to debt collectors. At this point we hadn't been sent the invoice and we had a direct debit set up. Next day received the invoice saying it had to be paid by the 15.07 and then said they would take the direct debit on the 16.07 or later. Paid by bank transfer, to avoid them trying to add on any late fees.

Will not be using this company again.

The issue was the threatening email regarding debt collectors before you had sent us the invoice for the final payment and the invoice stating it had to be paid before the date of when you would take the direct debit.

John and his team at Safestore Preston are amazing, they were so committed to helping me and my family find the best deal around and kept in touch over months to ensure our moving process was as smooth as possible. Very welcoming and polite, I got to come down and see the facility beforehand, check out some spaces before deciding, they make time to ensure you are fully informed and satisfied with the services available, there are no hidden cost, charges, hikes...etc very transparent with everything, which we appreciated greatly. The location is easy to find, accessible for everyone and the facility is very clean and safe. I would highly recommend. 

I will not gaslight the review below me however the units are very affordable and I feel at ease leaving my belongings here. The staff are super helpful, especially Jodie who I trust with my life. Thank you Safe store

I gave two weeks' notice to leave my storage unit and I was quoted a final figure well in excess of two weeks' charges to leave. I queried this and never received a formal response. Now they're chasing me for an incorrect invoice!

I demand that someone look into this!

EDIT: I have still not received a final response or an invoice and the statement of account is as clear as lead. What have you actually done about this?

EDIT #2: Safestore have provided no formal response in writing. Instead, I had a frustrating and rather fruitless phone call with Jay Gosling in which no apology was offered, no meaningful offer made and, to date, a final invoice has yet to appear.

Appalling customer service!
