My experience was a stressful one from the beginning. There were mistakes straight away with the pricing I was given two different weekly rates and had to double-check which one was correct. The contract was also started a week before I had actually requested it. I had asked for a quote on a 100 sq ft unit, but after I paid, I realised they’d quoted me for a 50 sq ft unit by mistake. The 100 sq ft unit is quite a bit more expensive, which made things worse.

They’re definitely not the most competitively priced. All I really wanted was a clear monthly cost,before and after any offer or discount but I never got that, even after asking several times. When I went to pay, they suddenly added £17 for a lock. I didn’t mind paying for the lock, but it would’ve been helpful to be told about it earlier, especially since I asked about the full cost more than once.

After a lot of back and forth, I eventually got my money back, but I had to go down there in person to sort it out.

Overall, it was a bit of a nightmare. Thankfully, I’ve now found a bigger unit elsewhere for a much better price.

My Daughter&Son-in-law are moving house from Wellingborough to Dawlish so needed Storage until they Complete. I &my friend have been helping and taking furniture etc to the Storage unit.
I can't thank the Young man Alek for being just wonderful, kind, Polite and an absolute Pleasure to speak to. So helpful( And charming!). We need more People like him in the World.

I may not have been the easiest of customers as I had lots of questions, but nothing seemed like too much trouble for Aleks. What a credit to the team! Excellent communication, very responsive and unbelievably polite. He made the whole process much easier and was a real star for dealing with my endless emails and enquiries. I honestly can't thank him enough for making what could have been a stressful process of booking just a breeze. Storage space is also clean and well centered. I can't wait to start utilising this.

I can highly recommend using Safestore in Exeter. Krista de Bruyn was most helpful in explaining the process of storing my personal belongings. She was courteous and professional and showed me exactly where I would be storing my items and how the lift worked. It can often be daunting doing something for the first time but Krista was able to answer all my concerns and I was able to drive away feeling that my belongings would be safe until I could retrieve them. When I retuned almost three months later I was greeted with a friendly smile and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you Krista for making it such an easy process to store my belongings there. I will be recommending Safestore Exeter to all my friends!

We needed storage while we sorted out a house move. Staff were very helpful, very good at estimating how much space we'd need, it was easy to book and easy to keep extending the period of time needed. They were very accommodating for us as I had to change things a few times and very kindly held on to a parcel that was delivered there when it shouldn't have been (my error in the confusion of the move!). The security coding and padlocks mean you know no-one can get to anything without you knowing and it was easy to pop in and out to drop things off and pick things up. Good value for money as well and very helpful to be able to buy packing supplies from them (also good value). Would definitely use again.
