Hi Martin,
We are disappointed to read this review, particularly as the account given does not accurately reflect the installation of your kitchen or the support provided by our team.

For clarity, your kitchen was signed off for production on 3 June and installation commenced on 18 July, a turnaround of approximately six weeks from sign-off to fitting.

The installation itself did not take 13 days. Your kitchen was fitted over two working days. Our fitter began the installation on Saturday, 18 July, but unfortunately suffered a family bereavement and was unable to return as originally planned. You were informed of these circumstances directly. He returned on Thursday, 23 July and completed the kitchen installation that day.

At completion, two doors were outstanding. Our Customer Support team contacted you on 24 July, explained this and confirmed that we would return the following week. The doors were subsequently fitted on 31 July.

It is therefore important to distinguish between the time elapsed while we returned with two outstanding doors and the actual kitchen installation, which was completed over two days.

With regard to the skirting, a section was removed to facilitate the kitchen installation and should have been reinstated. We acknowledge this and subsequently offered to return to rectify it, together with the associated paintwork. This offer was declined as you advised that you had already arranged for the work to be completed. When our fitter returned on 31 July to install the two outstanding doors, no issue with the skirting or paintwork was raised with him; had it been, he would of course have addressed it at that time.

We also strongly disagree with your description of our professional fitter as the “runt of the litter”. We welcome genuine feedback and will always take responsibility where something requires attention, but we do not believe personally derogatory language towards a member of our team is appropriate or necessary.

There was no issue with the fitting of your kitchen itself. We remain available to discuss any legitimate outstanding concerns directly with you, but we believe it is equally important that the facts and timeline surrounding your installation are accurately represented.
