Worst service from Whittard of Chelsea. Just after 3 months of giving a 5 star rating, the brand has let me down.
I placed an order recently and I neither received the product nor get a response from the customer support. It’s been over a week now and yet receive the product. The order says as shipped in their website, as whittard of Chelsea uses Evri as their courier partner, it shows as awaiting package from Whittard of Chelsea.
I tried reaching customer care over chat, no agents reached out, tried calling over the provided contact number, no response either. Dropped an email asking for an update , no response for email to. Left with no option to reach whittard of Chelsea. I have paid for the order, there is no option to request for a refund / return.

Totally disappointed. I lost the trust on this brand. It’s like I am being scammed of the money.

I have ordered from Whittards several times without any problems however my last delivery didn't arrive and no progress was made on Yodel/Inpost App. I emailed Sarann at customer service at Whittards and had an immediate reply. The result was within 24 hours my parcel was safely delivered and I was able to have a cup of my favourite ginger chai tea.

Whittard have always provided great products and a great customer service experience.

For the first time in many years I had cause to report an item had arrived damaged (photo supplied to their email) and Sarann arranged for a replacement to be issued immediately.

Sarann was great emailing me back and forth to arrange a refund on a product I didn't enjoy. She asked what time I was free and rang almost on time, thank you!

Many thanks for the support. I had an issue with a discount code and she helped me very much proposing a way forward and solvingthe issue. It was very much appreciated.

Love the company, its delicious coffee, prompt service. Was, however, tempted to give 4 rather than 5 star is that try I as might, I couldn't get the online site to accept the birthday coupon they sent me. After I emailed, Sarann at Customer Service sorted it all out beautifully, so have decided to stick with the 5 stars!

The customer service is fantastic! My first time ordering from Whittard, purchasing a gift for a friend's birthday. However, upon opening the parcel, the Whittard box was with no products inside! Contacted customer service, spoke with Sarann, and within the hour the issue was resolved, with a replacement ordered for the next day. I was very impressed with the speedy response and solution given by Sarann. Thank you

After experiencing a problem with the grind of the Expresso coffee being too fine, Sarann dealt with it in a professional and friendly way. I returned the problem packets and they were replaced and postage refunded.

There's a lot to say here..
By my observation and experience it seems this company is Highly Overrated. Their customer base seemingly exists of Americans and people who consume only coffee and have no experience even touching a tea bag.. (note almost no reviews on trustpilot mention their TEAS).. [which I will talk about below]
I will add a disclaimer however that I only tried their DECAF teas, but actually in my experience you know a good tea company by the quality of their Decaf..
And before I mention the tea issues I should say, factoring in the WEIGHT of the tea inside each bag, and the delivery cost, it works out over twice the cost of a popular Organic decaf brand for the same variety of tea I ordered.. (Whittards are Not Organic)* .. ( So make of that what you will)

So, I'll try to be brief here.. but TLDR: The teas were Ultimately not satisfactory for me in terms of quality, especially in regards to the cost compared to others*
And seemingly disingenuous practices and claims for their products that I have seen.

They were also not as described in my opinion because the photo shows LARGE teabags (next to the box) and they are in reality half the size (dimensions) as well as clearly having less tea leaves in them* .. They are also a different shade of colour, on the photos given they show an off-white colour and appearance, typical of biodegradable/ compostable no plastic types that give room for the tea to breathe..
BUT, instead you get what is similar to a budget asda-style white (seemingly bleached and plastic pressed) tea bags, with tiny pores and the tea is compressed and doesn't infuse properly Imo.

As for the taste and aroma. Wow, Absolutely 100% BLAND. Their earl-grey for example (box indicated 2029 date!) yet hardly any bergamot scent and same for the flavour.

The only benefit I can see for their teas is if you want a really weak and flavourless tea for night time or some other reason (i can't comprehend those anyhow)

They have this 100% satisfaction guarantee (or something to that effect), But on further inspection it's basically useless unless you live near to a shop of their as you have to pay for recorded delivery back to their store (and possibly delivery back to you for a replacement/other?) .. So I suppose if they offered to send an alternative free of charge I would give them due credit for that but I bought all the available decaf teas they have for sale anyway so...

Lastly, and this is quite a BIG issue (if my assessment is accurate, but not saying it is) it's that their website reviews seem not to be Genuine (in my personal opinion) I say this because it seems that near ALL of their reviews for their products are FIVE-star and the only 1's and 2's relate to shipping problems.. Ive seen similar seemingly inauthentic reviews on Amazon.

I expected better.

I had an issue with a hot chocolate powder I ordered that came solidified instead of powder. I contacted whittard of Chelsea and they promptly replied to investigate and offered a replacement or refund. Sarann was brilliant at quick responses and I’m very happy with how fast they resolved the issue. Great customer service.

Sarann resolved my issue quickly and efficiently. I would definitely purchase from whittards again in the future.

Great product but no response from customer service to the mix up with the delivery driver dropping the package to the wrong flat. Luckily the neighbour dropped off the package to us a few days later.

Very responsive to a suspected product quality issue. Sarann was helpful and concerned. All resolved and will remain a loyal subscriber

I placed an order and over a week later haven't received it which is very unusual as I order regularly and have never had an issue. I needed to change information on the account which my have led to not receiving an order reference number, but money had been taken from my account. Contacted the live chat, which I never find terribly useful. Sophie was the live chat agent. She swiftly looked into my account, saw the problem and has resent the order. She was very helpful on the live chat, and fingers crossed I will receive my order in the next few days. Thank you Sophie.

Thanks to Whittard for resolving my delivery problem immediately and also for generously reimbursing me for my costs. I very much enjoy Whittard teas and am impressed with the courtesy and efficiency of their customer service. Quality teas and quality customer service!

Customer service ordered me a replacement which arrived in a few days. Excellent service and gives me confidence to buy their wonderful
Teas online again.

I always buy my tea from Whittards. I haven’t found chilli chai anywhere else. The rewards system is fantastic and I collect Avios points too.
I contacted them last night as my email address has changed. I got a response today, to say it’s been changed over, a temporary password and instructions to rejoin the loyalty account and that my points would cross over. Sophie responded to my emails quickly efficiently, professionally and had a lovely friendly tone. All sorted in less than 24 hours. Thank you Sophie 💜👏🏼

Sophie had already resolved my issue, before even me contacting the customer service team. I used the chat three times and all the members of staff who I chatted with gave me accurate information and advice.Many thanks to Sophie and the rest of the team.
