The ability to speak to someone was amazing. Dionne was quite superb in handling my query. She went way beyond the normal. I felt looked after at every stage.

This was our first time visiting Zouk Tea Bar and grill, both our curries were delicious and the waiters were very attentive.The restaurant itself is very clean and has a lovely ambience.We will be back.

A great place for a catch up over a relaxed drinr (or two!) with friends

Had an absolutely amazing experience. Great drinks, amazing food and even better service. Roman made our anniversary stand out and made us feel so well looked after. We will definitely be coming back!

Went 2 nights during a 4 night stay in a local Hotel. Food was excellent. Staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. Owner/barman was friendly and welcoming. Slightly warm in the restaurant but bearable

Booked for lunch. Varied menu and delicious food. The house red was a good choice. It was a hot day and we appreciated the windows and doors being open.

Poor. Squaremeal vouchers are not widely received. Then the usage of it is far from seamless. Having linked my credit card to the voucher I was expecting an automatic credit back when paying with the card. Instead I had to email Support (twice) to chase up. After which I needed to accept the refund on another email and enter by bank account details for the refund. Completely underwhelming and definitely do not recommend.

Received £150 voucher. There are only 5 restaurants in Edinburgh it can be used for. There is only 1 in Glasgow. Furthermore you have to use it for a meal for £150 or greater. You cannot use it for a meal for less then £150. The colleagues that purchased this assumed it could be used at hundreds of restaurants and for multiple meals. Totally miss advertising. Very disappointing. Please be aware as the details are not obvious.

Delicious food and excellent service in a restaurant brimming with atmosphere, centrally located in Notting Hill. My wife and I chose four sharing dishes, all with an Italian bent, and all absolutely full of flavor. Followed on with two desserts; Tiramasu and gooseberry pie, which were equally as good. Excellent value for an exceptional meal!

On Monday afternoon following a lovely walk along the River Thames I took my 3 colleagues to a wonderful Indian restaurant that I hadn't been to before. I had read about it in the media described as having the influence of the old luxury Indian railways of years gone by. We arrived at 4pm when they opened and were warmly greeted by all the staff including the owner. What a delight the place was with its unique railway design with banquette tables for 4 and separate standard tables for 2 or more. We were all big guys so they kindly let us use a table for 6 to make it more comfortable. This is the kind of treatment that has been lost in recent years and it was so nice to experience what was just the beginning of superb service from each member of staff. One can tell when a restaurant is well run because the staff reflect the enthusiasm of the owner, and they certainly do at Chook Chook. We had Garlic & Chilli Prawns, Tandoori Chicken and Awadhi Lamb chops to start, all of which were superb. The lamb chops in particular were impressive by their size an succulence which my colleague commented on. For main course 3 of us had the the very special Railway Chicken Curry. We didnt really know what to expect when we ordered it but the rustic and luscious chicken and potato curry was truly one of the best that I have ever tasted (and I'm 78!). My other colleague had the Chicken Tikka Masala which he described as flavoursome and truly epic. Unfortunately, after also having Peshawari Naan and Poppadums we were too full to experiment with an desert but we left the restaurant fully satisfied and replete. I urge you to try it - even if its out of your way - you wont be disappointed as it was a very special find and wonderful experience.

The yurt was amazing place. Just reopened in such a lovely setting. Beautiful gardens with a large yurt. friendly and welcoming owner and staff. Local produced and home grown food on the menu. The sample menu is a good indication of the menu on the day. Food was fantastic with great flavours and cooked to perfection. The tomahawk pork steaks were massive and so tasty. Ribeye steak and chicken were so tasty. Selection of side dishes were very good. Alicia the waitress was so friendly and could not be more helpful and so friendly and welcoming. The owner Priscilla was so lovely discussing her passion of her garden. The grounds are so pretty and local sculptures she has in the garden really add to the atmosphere. The spa looks lovely but did not have any treatments as we went for a family meal. Would recommendation this to anyone who wants excellent food and service in a beautiful setting in the Suffolk countryside.

A friend bought us a £140 SquareMeal voucher as our 40th wedding anniversary present to go out for a special meal

SquareMeal boasts that it has over 500 restaurants listed, which may be true

However, the way SquareMeal works is that you have to register your credit card with them and choose one of the restaurants to attend and you pay with your credit card. They claim they will see that transaction on your credit card and apply your voucher as a credit to your credit card

Firstly, I don't trust that process and thus didn't want to go for an expensive meal just to use up a voucher and find I don't get my voucher applied

Secondly, although they list probably 500 restaurants there are less than 200 one can use the voucher at and most of those are in London and are chains such as Gaucho and The Ivy. I don't want to go out to a special meal to a chain. There are hardly any independent restaurants listed. We live in Worthing and we would have to travel 12 miles to Brighton to visit one of the only 2 listed in Brighton

Thirdly, one can earn reward points in all their listed restaurants as they scan your spending on the registered card, ie the same process as using a voucher. If they can do this why can't we redeem a voucher at any of their listed restaurants?

Anyway not trusting their process nor having a sufficient variety of independent restaurants I discovered that we could swap the voucher for items listed on their website

This again is an issue, they mainly list Kitchen Aid and Le Creuset at prices higher than RRP

So we "bought" a Kitchen Aid Food Processor for £229 which meant we had to pay £89 after using our voucher

The process of "buying" was so inefficient and dodgy that it concerned me that the whole site might be a scam. The website didn't work. Then when I finally completed the purchase I didn't get a confirmation email and no delivery emails. They don't seem to have created the standard ecommerce processes, which creates a lot of worry. I contacted their support on multiple occasions. Finally, they said the red one we have paid for was not available and so we ordered cream instead - which did arrive

The whole thing is a joke. I suspect they don't hold any stock, which is sensible, and order whatever the customer orders to be delivered direct from the manufacturer to the consumer, and that explains why they have no control over the delivery process and thus cannot issue delivery advisory emails

We paid £229 for the same item which is widely available from a range of retailers for £149. It even cost SquareMeal themselves £169 according to the Finance Information included in one of their emails

I feel sorry for our friend who basically wasted £140 on the SquareMeal voucher she bought us as we could have bought the item ourselves for £149, only £50 more than we paid SquareMeal and our friend could have saved herself £140

Proceed with caution

Both the website and app are very slow and unresponsive most of the time. Also the voucher system simply doesn't work. I followed the guide on creating an account using the same email the voucher was sent to, added a payment card and confirmed my email. I then dined at one of the restaurants on their list (The Cinnamon Club in London), paid with the same payment card and I never received a redemption/refund email. I tried raising a dispute in the app, provided all the details but when you press "submit" nothing happens, had to raise a support ticket via the website (#136740).

Personally I wouldn't recommend this service at all. It feels like they purposely make the voucher redemption process complicated or unreliable.

Excellent value, staff and location. You won’t find any better value restaurant in the area, plus the location and view is second to none! Our 3 course set lunch menu was £20.95 each and, while the portions were a little on the small side, proved very tasty! The staff were lovely! :)

From the starters to the desserts, everything was excellent. It's easy to see why so many people rate this as one of the best Indian restaurants in Leeds.
