I went to the Ivybridge store to buy a USB cable, I selected the type I needed and decided to buy 2, they had a price sticker on each for £2. I went to the till where I was told ' You know these are £3 ' I pointed out that they were marked at £2. Only to be told that is the RRP we sell them for £3. So I only bought 1. I returned to the store to speak to the Manager but there was only one person working in the store at 2.15pm. Manager and Asst Manager had gone home. The last time I bought USB cables from this store they only cost £1.50 and that was only about a year ago.

On 25th August 2026, around 4.30pm, I witnessed a poundland manager leave the armley store (leeds) and he followed 2 small children (aged around 10) down the street and launched a viscious attack on one of them. He was stalking them and crouching behind cars. These children had not been in the store, they were simply walking past. Anyway, the child ended up covered in blood screaming and ran off limping, screaming his foot was broken. The poundland manager walked back to the shop as if nothing happened. I stuck around to see what happened next. Then, the child's father turned up a few mins later, and was asking about a man wearing a black tshirt (managers uniform) and asked poundland staff if he was available to speak. Well it all kicked off then because within a few mins the police were there to arrest the father..but I witnessed it all and he did nothing wrong. He went on to explain to police his little boy had just been attacked by a male who worked there and he was there to put a complaint in. The police made no arrests and refused to arrest the worker as he was the one who called the police therefore he couldn't be arrested..this country is backwards..also, this was 2 weeks ago, I have seen this manager in the poundland store almost every day since (i live local). The manager is about 6 foot 2, and I've heard staff call him Luke. So please watch your children around this man, as he obviously hasn't been spoken to and the store have done nothing at all as he's still working there!!

Shocking ... pointless shop, no prices on shelf, dust and cobwebs on tills, staff couldn't care what ever was happening, empty shelves, clothes all over the floor...just a disgrace

What get me is that when you come to the till and going to pay, and if you have forgotten your bag at home which I had this time and asked for one they only have the bag for life! You should have a choice of other bags. Think if you are a person that hardly never thinks of bringing a bag from home. It's going to be expensive. I told them so as well and how disgusting I thought that was. That is my opinion.

Today I went in to the Reading store to find they were still selling disposable bbqs even though they are currently banned due to half the country being on fire. Obviously a company that clearly doesn’t give a crap about the wider issues in favour of its own profits.

I visited the Poundland store in Surbiton, and bought two products which were priced at 2 for a £1. At the till, I noticed that the products were being charged at £1 each. However, there were no staff available to accept a query, so I paid the bill and wrote to Poundland Head office by email.

I addressed the email to the chief executive, but received a most unsatisfactory reply from a member of staff. On two more occasions, I repeated the complaint, but Poundland refused to back up their store advertided prices.

This demonstrates dishonesty and incompetence by Poundland's Chief execitive and staff, from which they will lose customers.

I think Poundlands dishonesty should be taken into account, with shoppers looking for alternative sources of products.

I've been to Poundland on Corporation Street, Birmingham, two days ago and accidentally bought the wrong items. Today, I went back to exchange them, with the items in their original packaging, but they refused to accept them.
I also left a review on Google, but it appears to be hidden. I asked one of my friends to check whether they could see my review, and they couldn't.
If businesses can prevent negative reviews from being seen, who can stop them from doing this?

I recently bought some sandpaper from Poundland in Coventry. Although I was not expecting it to be the same quality as I would have got from a DIY shop the product was definitely not fit for purpose! As soon as I started to sand down the skirting board with it the sandpaper just disintegrated! I have used 2 sheets and only managed to do 10cms of skirting! May as well have just used a scourer!

I was pleased with all my bargains today at Poundland, Bognor Regis and Magdolna who served me at the till was very pleasant, smiling, efficient and nice, thank you, Magdolna very much indeed!

I visited the poundland Abbeycentre shop in Newtownabbey, to buy 1 thing. Price in shelf was £1 but on self checkout till was £1.5.
I pointed this out to Catherine, who just cancelled my item, "just because" as she said. One of her colleagues checked that the shelf was indeed showing the wrong price and she (not get colleague) even apologised for this! What awful behaviour.

I got upset in my local sore after a bereavement anxiety a lovely lady called Jo gave me a hug I felt so much better. What a lovely lady
Can't remember exact date in July so this month.

My wife was shopping at Poundland and had a very negative experience with a staff by name of Manpreet at Ealing mall store. She was but willing to help find some items and continue chatting to some friends on her phone. She offered to look after my basket while I looked around however when I came back I found a few items had been missing and she was not attentive and there at ll. we complaint to the manager next day who was but willing to formally take this complain but apologised nevertheless.

A staff member in Poundland Elgin Moray called me and my friends “bratty, self righteous, ignorant and annoying” simply because ONE of us did not want to go to the till and preferred to use the self check out; this was unnecessary and disproportionate (it was the old lady with grey hair, again). This is unacceptable behaviour from a senior person who should be setting an example to the younger, impressionable generation. We can all have bad days, but her bad days appear to coincide with every time I/we go in. Gonna take my dad next time, he doesn’t take any cheek from anybody and will put her straight back in her box.

Deceptive "Closing Down" Marketing – Avoid
This business is using false "going out of business" signs to trick people into making panic purchases. They claim to be closing down, remove the signs a few weeks later, and then repeat the exact same tactic. Completely dishonest marketing. Shop elsewhere.

Rude staff, staff who for zero reason follow people around store. Staff fefusing to operate tills and force people to use self scan tills, which are more time consuming, as dont scan products or end up double scaning them, etc. Staff refuse to help look for products or direct to the place in Isle items are. @ Gloucester store - Southgate Street.

Ealing Poundland manager he is very unprofessional, my wife bought an item, and she returned the item back unopened on the same day and she asked for just a refund. The manager refused to take the item back even my wife she explained the reason to him and the item is unopened on the same day. The reason she mentioned to him is (allergy).

Visited Poundland Aylesbury highstreet this morning. Brought toiletries, 3 packs of chocolates and 3 water pen painting books for kids which was priced £2 each in the shelves. I went to pay the cashier she refused to serve me and directed me to the self checkout self checkout slow and I had to wait for someone to come and start it again Scanned the water paint books and it was marked as £3 each went to check the shelves to confirm the price and all the prices of all items in the isle shown as £2. Called the staff explained the issue they said because I had 3 items I can’t help you. I’ve asked to speak to the Manager came and explained that the price was for previous item and they will correct the prices on the shelf. She said now you have 2 options pay full price or leave . I asked her to speak to the manager she said I’m the manager I told her to give contact details of her boss or customers service she told me I don’t have it but you can Google 😂 lol I was in disbelieve of her attitude. She walked away, I then googled the customer service number on the spot and reported the incident. I was told they cannot do anything about the pricing but they would call the area manager and I shouldn’t expect any follow up from them .
Anyway I paid for everything with no pricing corrections and left with the understanding that non of their employees care about customer service or customer relation.

Today I gave pound land a go in Harlow town centre and I must say what a great shop staff were friendly and the shop was busy some great bargains plus it was also a breath of fresh air to see a manager challenging 4 teen kids that think they can go in there shoplifting the manager was very professional and stood his ground with the lads and got them to empty there bags and got them out the shop where security was waiting for them well done I will be back.
A big well done to Paul the manager it was nice talking to u .

Today I went into Bedminster Poundland and had brilliant customer service from Alex and Michelle on the shop floor, they were really helpful and polite and gave me excellent customer service and knew exactly where all the products were that I wanted ,The lady at the checkout Bev served me with a lovely smile and was very pleasant and also gave me excellent customer service, Thank you to Alex Bev And Michelle for making my shopping experience in Poundland Bedminster so enjoyable.

What a absolute nightmare the queue to check out was so busy and only 1 on the till and was only taking card, so the self check out was so busy with only 1 taken cash and I had a full trolley load which meant I was going to take ages and was feeling so embarrassed something should be done can the management not see it 🙄
