Daughter 12 needed to up-size to a 4/4 violin and therefore needed a full set up violin, bow and case. Liz at Elida Violins traded in our Gliga Gems 2, a small bow and 1/16th violin for a beautiful sounding Robinson and Buckley Violin that my daughter fell in love with as soon as she started to play it, a Dorfler16 bow and case.
Liz sent out on approval 5 violins, bows and cases. The hardest part was to find what we would like to try as she has so many lovely instruments and accessories to choose from. Liz was patient and helped us to make the right decision via email and phone calls. Once the decision was made the violins of varying price ranges were sent out and arrived to us less than 24 hours later, with no pressure to buy. When we had tried the violins and made our decision the violins were collected for return within 3 hours.
A completely stress free service and purchase. If we hadn't liked any of the instruments Liz would have happily sent out more but she does try to help you make the right decision for you requirements as she is very knowledgeable about her instruments.

Liz was so helpful and swift to respond. When she outgrew the first violin, Liz quickly traded it in for the next size up. The quality of these violins is superb. I spoke to Liz about a Gliga violin I bought (and loved) in Australia but did not know its model. She is very quick to reply and attend to my questions in the best manner you could find on the internet. I am not considering upgrading my violin this year but when I do, I would definitely consider buying from Elida.

I recently bought a Gliga viola from Elidatrading - it's the third Gliga I have bought (the other two were violins, both several years ago). Liz gave good advice, on the basis of which I bought a cheaper model than I had been considering - so absolutely no pressure to spend more unnecessarily, which was rather refreshing. Neither was there any pressure to buy anything else (I bought a case, but decided to buy a bow locally).

The particular model and size I wanted was out of stock and Liz explained upfront that there would be a delay (which wasn't a problem). The viola has now arrived and my daughter is very happy with it, as she is also is with the violin (she no longer plays the original violin we bought, as it was a small size).

It was quite a journey to buy a first violon, even more so online... When I found Elida I still had many questions and doubts, and Liz was very patient and kind. She answered everything rapidly with details and honnesty. It was reassuring. The website is also very complete and helpful. The violon arrived in 3 days (from UK to France) in percfect condition, and ready to play after a short tunning (which was easy to do). Good violon I think (I got a Gliga gems 2), although the bridge seems a little high (it's hard on the fingers). Perhaps the violon will need some work to sound at its best (it might be a little too "quiet" at the moment), but that could be a matter of personal preference (I'm just a beginer so I don't know much). Anyway good service from Elida, helpful and reliable.

I bought a cello from Elidatrading roughly two weeks back and it is excellent. Liz couldn't have been more helpful - in fact choosing my cello personally in Romania at the Gliga factory! I'm thoroughly enjoying playing my cello. It has a great sound.

Got in touch to buy a 2nd hand violin listed on the Elida website for our daughter. It had already gone, but Liz found us another, in good condition - which she described accurately - at a very fair price. She was helpful (and quick) at answering queries, sorted out a new case and string, and made sure the instrument was delivered at the right time. We have been wary of buying instruments online in the past, but were very happy with Elida and would recommend without hesitation.

I have bought both used and new Gliga violins and violas over many years and never been disappointed. Liz, the owner is happy to advise and will not try to foist anything on you that you do not need. She answers emailed queries quickly and Elida have a great part-exchange policy which is handy if you need to change sizes.

I recently contacted Elida Trading to see if I could trade in my son's 12" Gliga viola purchased in Canada for a full size Gliga violin.
Liz at Elida Trading was very kind and very prompt with her reply to my enquiry. The trade in / purchase of the viola / violin went very quickly and very smoothly. The new violin has a lovely tone and is a beautiful instrument.

Great friendly service. Spoke to Elizabeth several times for information before buying the Gliga Gama 1. She was honest enough to say that my Student instrument was good enough for someone at my level but I still couldn't resist buying the Gliga Gama. I just love fine instruments.

I'm an adult returning to violin playing after a long lay off. Elida Trading provided prompt honest answers to all my emails when enquiring about a new Gliga violin and excellent next day delivery when i placed an order. I'm delighted with my Gliga Gama. So much easier to play and such a nice pleasant open sound compared to my old student violin.

My violin was shipped via Parcel Force. The delivery to Finland was a bit long, it took over a week. The violin was packed very well. Even though the box had taken a seemingly rough hit to the corner during the delivery, the instrument was wrapped in such a huge amount of bubble wrap that it was completely unharmed, in pristine condition.

The instrument itself is really beautiful and sounds impressive for the price. I have never heard anyone say anything bad about violins made by Gliga and now I know why. They're that good.

Elizabeth at Elidatrading tests and sets up all the violins before shipping them. The setup on the violin I received is as good as it gets. Although a professional craftsman might do some adjustments, I don't think they would make any noticeable difference. My violin was on perfect playing condition simply after tuning the instrument.

Customer service is good, much better than with larger music dealers. All of my e-mails were answered within 30 minutes of sending them and all my questions were answered well. Other than a tad long delivery time to Finland, I have absolutely no complaints.

I bought a Gliga violin from elida trading some time ago and have to say the service was excellent indeed.The violin was amazing quality for the price.I have friends who have tried the violin and they have said they would happily pay 3 times the cost for a violin of that quality so i think comments like that speak volumes for the Gliga violins.
