We had solar panels installed on two properties, 121 solar were very knowledgeable, offered excellent service, a good price and any technical issues were dealt with promptly and without fuss.

I had solar panels fitted towards the end of 2011 by 121 Solar Ltd after shopping around potential several suppliers. I concluded that 121 knew what they were talking about, were proposing to install quality solar panels (unlike some of the others!) and were a local, trustworthy firm of professionals. I'm pleased to say I was not disappointed. The work was completed on time as arranged and to a very high standard. I couldn't be happier to be honest. The solar panels work a treat and I'm very happy to recommend this firm to others.

In our opinion 121 solar are an exelent company .On their first visit they did not overload us with information as they realized that we had already gathered a lot of information about panels, whereas other companies insisted on giving us a full hours talk regardless.
They did send us all the info about the system, and facts and figures of the projected income that we may get over the 25 years by email so thst we could absorb this in our own time. The company arrived on time to install the system and kept us informed at all times about what they were doing.
In our case where a problem did arise we were consulted and with our agreement a solution was found.
When working both inside and outside the house they made every effort to protect our property.

I didn't expect to be able to find an outfit who could complete my installation in the crazy timeframe I needed but these guys pulled out all the stops and did an amazing job - a good, communicative, honest and slick outfit!

A well practiced team completed the installation quickly & efficiently; & then sorted out the paperwork for us to complete.

Installed on 12th April 2011 it has produced ( to 3rd April 12) - 2801 KWh. Matthew estimated 2629 KWh in the 1st year. Which for a West facing System is very good. Scottish Power give us 50% of the total generation as power feed to the grid. So for an investment of £11800 we have had a good return, £1254 in payments + all the free electric we can use during the day especially if the suns out. We can run the Computer, TV/Video and run the washer or dishwasher but not both before we pay for any electric.
121 were courteous and very efficient in the installation and also gave us advice on further electrical savings and would have no hesitation in recommending them.

121 are a family firm and were very helpful and informative and not at all 'pushy' prior to purchasing their system. The quality of the equipment was good and the price very competitive. The installation was completed quickly and ahead of schedule. They even see to the paperwork and registering of the system for you.
Six weeks on the system is working perfectly. I would have no concerns about having this company do any work for me in the future.

Three companies were invited to tender for the solar panels and all ticked the appropriate boxes. 121 Solar however just seemed to provide that something extra and so got the work. Whether it was their ability to answer questions in a straight forward way or their ability to be unbiased with regard to the different products, hard to say. Fully vindicated as work progressed without a hitch, on time, on budget and without any mess. Gets my vote!!!

Matthew and his Dad were both professional and courteous at every stage. They treated our house with a respect that is very rare these days when employing tradesmen.

Not long after my installation was completed my neighbour challenged me about them.
He asked does the sun have to be hot for the panels to generate electric and if so is the electric stored to be used at night when the sun don’t shine, does the heat warm your water too.
I suppose it’s a misconception a lot of people have about solar panels and how they work.
It was a cold bright day when he came over to ask me why I had them installed on my bungalow roof in the first place, I told him straight, I saw them as an investment as well as a greener alternative to burning coal or oil.
There as been mixed reactions from people when I’ve told them I have solar panels, some say they disfigure the look of my bungalow but I tell those people the truth, I rather like them besides I see them as penny’s from heaven.
My electric provider has been slow to recognise my installation, it wasn’t until I sent them an email enquiring about my FIT payment that they contacted me saying, they had sent out the ‘Terms and Conditions’ agreement for me to sign ten days ago and if I hadn’t received it I should ask for a replacement to be sent, I did and it came two days later.
Since my installation there has been several other bungalows around here that have had them installed on their roofs so I’m not on my own thinking I’ve made a worth while investment…
