Required AM delivery and told would be called by 09:15 with time of delivery. No call. I rang Hughes at 11:45 and given usual spiel that delayed at other addresses. Delivery guys rang 5 mins later 'be with you within the hour' blaming mix up at depot (doesn't explain why no call before 09:15). So wasted morning. So don't arrange a time slot as it may or may not be adhered to, you don't get compensated for your wasted morning/afternoon. Lets hope at least the goods are worth it. Probably pick up myself next time.

So went to purchase a dishwasher and microwave, picked what we wanted, cost of delivery, fitting and removing old dishwasher £60, we expected this, however, the microwave wasn’t in stock and was being delivered from the same depot as the dishwasher.
Me: can you deliver the microwave when you bring the dishwasher?
Salesman: Yes madam but it will cost you a further £10.
As I was there and had picked what I wanted I purchased the products, now having to return to pick up the microwave as I will not pay a ridiculous amount for delivery when they are already coming to my house.
In future I will be purchasing my items online where I don’t have to pay delivery. HUGHES - your loss, and you wonder why people are now shopping more online.

Bought a Thompson video camera costing £1000 from the store in Norwich, very good salesman went through how it works and was not pushy at all. The camera was not great, would not work at all in the evening??? Fine during natural light, but useless at night under tungsten.

I bared with it and then it developed a fault. I returned it to the store and they were accomodating. They would let me know when it was repaired. Then I had a strange letter sent to me basically stating that it had been tampered with and that they were not going to repair it. The warranty was null and void. I argued the case and even sent ample evidence of the fault to them after meticulous research to prove the tamper theory was otherwise. (I am an electronics engineer, the fault they described -tampering in their words is actually quite common on camcorders!)

I got absolutely no where. And what was worst I never got the faulty camera back. I was minus a camera albeit faulty and they 'stolen' £1000 off me!!! I kid you not. It makes you wonder if they have pulled this stunt on other customers before??? When something goes faulty accuse the customer of tampering with it to get out of the warranty repair.
Bennets is a DISGRACE. I should have just literally THROWN the money down the nearest drain-or better give it to a local charity!

Bought upwright freezer and paid to have the door changed to open the
other way. Left bits of and had to get Bosch to come out and put it right.
