Been a loyal customer over 3 years. Rain Continued to deduct my account after canceling my account, 2 months after collecting their router. No one is of assistance, they always promise to call you back after the so called consultation with the manager.

"I'm extremely disappointed with Rain's service. I cancelled my subscription at the beginning of December due to persistent network issues that started in November. Despite cancelling, they continued to debit my account. When I requested a refund, they initially agreed but have since become unresponsive and uncooperative.
Their customer service has been appalling, constantly sending me on a wild goose chase - first it's 10 days, then another 10 days, and no resolution in sight. It's now the middle of February and I'm still waiting for a refund.

Tried calling rain WiFi but was left in the unknown about my delivery and no one was in contact with me whatsoever, I called them multiple times to try organise the best time for delivery they kept pushing delivery to the next week, called them again and they said they would schedule delivery and the courier company would be in contact. 4 weeks later… nothing

I am extremely disappointed with the service I have received from Rain.
Last week, I contacted their support team twice regarding ongoing connectivity issues. After lodging complaints, they reset my WiFi remotely and instructed me to reset my router, which I did exactly as advised.
Since then, my internet connection has actually worsened.
For a company advertising uncapped WiFi services, the level of customer support is unacceptable. The troubleshooting provided did not resolve the issue and there has been no meaningful follow-up or accountability.
Reliable internet is essential, especially for work and studies, and this experience has been frustrating and disruptive.
Based on my experience, I would strongly caution potential customers to reconsider before choosing Rain for uncapped WiFi services. The customer service and support have been disappointing and far below expectation.

The network is incredibly bad, have 5g but still get put on a 4g tower in the middle of nowhere, called rain yesterday to fix the problem is was fixed for 10 minutes and now it is extremely bad connection again, can't even send messages, considering canceling and looking for a new network, they say give us your trust but yet they can't give us wifi, big big problem, completely over the bad wifi connection and signal now, and it's never being sorted out.

I have had a very bad experience with rain loop unlimited package
I am still waiting for the refund please kind assist,my loop package only worked for the first mongh only in october2025, november 2026 i started having problems with the wifi that i requested cancellation,refund n loop collection but still in December 2025 money was deducted from my account again yet the router wasnt working
So after calling for3,months they hsve eventually collected the loop but stll deducting from my account but the router was not worki g

When I ordered the device, I was promised that the signal would reach all the rooms in the house (up to 30 meters). However, we only have wifi in our living room, it doesnt even reach out upstairs area.
Its been an absolute night mare to deal with the rain staff as everyone is telling me something different which now leaves me without any wifi from next week.

Reference numbers are as follows: 43059008, 43190832, 43276828, 43712322. None of the tickets were attended to. I cannot locate some of the tickets that were logged via askrain.
You have included the three months during which I was hospitalised, yet I am being billed for periods in which the service was not used. Please clarify why I should be liable for charges during months of non‑usage. Additionally, you have added charges for January 2026 and February 2026, despite the fact that the service was suspended. It is unclear why I am being billed for these months when the connection was inactive.
Furthermore, I was double‑debited, and my refund request continues to be declined without justification. I should not be expected to pay for five months of service that I did not receive. During my hospitalisation, I was not in a position to contact you immediately. Despite the poor service I received and my subsequent request to cancel the subscription, you proceeded to bill me for an additional two months while the service remained suspended.
More than one agent informed me that the three months of hospitalisation would be waived and that I would not be billed for that period. Instead of applying this, I have now been charged for two additional months, on top of the double debit that has still not been refunded.
It has now been more than two weeks since I requested a refund from Rain, and to date I have not received any form of correspondence—neither via email nor telephone.
On 15 January 2025, Rain processed a double debit on my account. I immediately requested a refund, as I had not used the service for over three months and my Wi‑Fi connection had been suspended. I was assured that the matter would be resolved within 24–48 hours; however, this did not happen. When I followed up after the promised turnaround time, I was met with unprofessional and dismissive behaviour from several agents. I was informed that I would not receive my refund, and my request to cancel the subscription was refused. Instead of cancelling the service and refunding the duplicate debit, Rain has attempted multiple debits from my bank account on a daily basis—despite the connection remaining suspended. One of the agents even stated that I should have contacted Rain the moment I was admitted to hospital.
On 28 January 2025, I posted a review on HelloPeter due to the unacceptable service received from the call centre. I had informed Rain of my hospitalisation, during which I was unable to use the service. After my discharge, I reiterated this, and Rain confirmed that there was no usage during that period. Despite this, they debited R1 178, kept the service suspended, refused to cancel the subscription, and declined to process my refund. The only response I received was a generic message on HelloPeter stating, “We're going to get on this ASAP.” To date, no further communication has been received, and no one from Rain has contacted me.
Rain does not respond to customers publicly because they prefer to provide misleading information privately. Do not be deceived—complaints are not resolved. If you subscribe to Rain, be aware that you may be subjected to the same treatment. You are going to be scammed by Rain.

I have been facing this issue for more then 5 days I don't have any connections because of incompetence of billing team that they can't transfer my payment the the correct account I'm so so exhausted have this issue end the can't even help like the don't care about customers service I wish at this stage just to go and sign I'm with another wifi company I'm not happy at all with your service I have been waiting since and nothing g still happening my kids are so bored just because of some people that need need us to get paid and the still can't do their job eating doughnuts and coffee when customer are not happy.So so so frustrating 😢.

I am very disappointed we have an agreement that you will deduct money from my acc on the 25th each month.. I made two payments yesterday one of R445 and the other R122. 55 because of my promise to pay fine.... I wanted to upgrade my plan to unlimited so the lady told me i I will have to pay an additional fee which she is not sure of... Fine she sent the link I paid the R122 got home wifi still off called them only to find out the the R122 was not to upgrade but because I am in arrears ok.... She told me that R373 will be deducted on the 25 of February so why did you deduct R495 without my consent from my account if I still owe you R373..... I called your client services and it seems like they don't know their job coz no one can explain to me what's going on.... Can you please give me feedback regarding my money coz I won't leave this hanging

My account was activated on November 26, 2025. Upon activation they told me that my first payment will be 25 December 2025 of which I paid it on 31st December 2025.
Now I can't process the payment for January because they say their system processed 2 invoices so I must pay what their system says and not what is due. Last month I had to go through the same thing of which I ended up fixing the issue at their branch which means I must go through this every month when the payment is due.
Network is the worst u can ever get and on the other side u must struggle with their billing system even for a very small thing. It seems like nothing really works at Rain worst ISP in the world wouldn't recommend it. Their Ai assist is useless keeps on repeating one thing over and over.. Real bad customer service for Rain. Its a worry indeed..

I spoke to Phila who did confirm that the other R695 is not traceable and my husband did confirm that it got deducted TWICE as of today. Now you guys are giving us the run around for a mistake you made on your end and we have to find all the proofs and the blood of the lamb to prove you guys have robbed us.
We are busy people. My husband is a very busy man and our time zones are already draining enough. I got this loop as a short term commitment while I’m in South Africa and he doesn’t have the time to be in long bank lines and call centers trying to dispute $42, which you guys deducted TWICE.
So here’s what’s gonna happen. I’ll leave my review as I have attached screenshots in the email thread of the deductions. You guys can keep that money and I’ve changed my payment method from our US Bank account to TymeBank. I will leave just enough money for this loop and I guess endure this financially abusive relationship with this network.
I got things to do. I wish you guys all the worst to come. Thanks for nothing.

If I could give this company a 0 for review I would?! 😡 Are you kidding me?! I pay R150 on promise to pay, change my billing 2 days later, pay off the full amount, and then they STILL manage to ***** me over because they have 2 accounts! Not only did they not refund my R589, but they also blocked my next promise to pay and said I owe them R697?! THEIR AI chatbot is useless, can't even talk to a human, and they gaslight you into oblivion! R150 moved to my once-off payment?!
THE WORST! 😡
It's now the 3rd month of hell, same issue!, blocked promise to pay, AI chatbot gaslights me, can't talk to a human! Claiming I owe R697 even after I called the call centre countless times and was told that my bill is settled! They Cut my network, stole my money... RAIN IS BEING RUN LIKE PONZI SCHEME!

It is ridiculous that Rain cannot give you your number back (port back). The network is limited to urban areas, once on the outskirts, it does not work. Plus, frequent SIM issues. Cannot make or receive calls suddenly, and the call centre agent just keep repeating same troubleshooting script. Worst is there is no direct customer care number to phone if you have an urgent issue. You have to wiat til someone gets back to you andbthat can take up to 24 hours. Just generally frustrating experience with Rain Mobile and their limited unreliable network signal strength, frequently faulty SIMs, and being unable to make or receive calls whenever their network says "no connection".

The worst after each debit order they receive with a week rain is not working for 3 to 4 days every week if you report they will tell you they understand it's gonna be fixed within 24 hours imagine you not working for 3 days full you must wait for another 24 hours again. They don't care about their customers as long they debit each month and got paid. You have to see to it how are you buying data on top of the money popped debited to your account. Please this is a norm about rain router it must be brought out in Media platforms as well as Icasa this is getting out of hand. You pay fully for service for a month but you will receive only 2 weeks of service the other days you'll be busy reporting without any help meaning are paying without receiving any service there's no refund or anything of that sort, they will tell you that it's not possible to do that.

Jeepers I would stay clear. Got the Rain 101 Pro service that included two mobile sim cards. From day one, I had issues with the mobile sim cards. It worked very intermittently. Some times in the day its fine, other times I can’t make any incoming or outgoing calls. This happened multiple times through the day despite having signal. Daily calls to Rain could not resolve anything. Ended up being forced to buy sim cards from another mobile network and ditch the Rain ones. As for the 5G 101 Pro router, connectivity was very intermittent. I would get 60mb/s download then 10 minutes later it would dive to 0 mb/s. Then up again and down. Got to a point where I called Rain 4 times a day. Every time they would connect me to another tower do some firmware upgrades, hard resets, blah blah blah. Tell me they escalated the issue to tech support, never got the call back in the 1000 times I called, and all the support tickets supposedly created. Ended up cancelling the service. I should really be requesting a refund because I definitely did NOT get what I paid for.
