I hit a deer with my 1931 Ford Model A pickup that resulted in damage to the front end and right fender. I was uninjured and the truck was still drivable so I was able to get the truck back home without further issue.

Submission of the claim online was easy to understand and complete. I was called on the next business day by a member of the claims team that reviewed my online submission and asked further relevant questions to help document the claim.

I live on San Juan Island in the Pacific Northwest, so getting the truck repaired could be a potential challenge. Fortunately one of the few body shops on the island is skilled with collector vehicles and is able to repair the truck.

The shop was not able to complete an estimate right away so the claims team was able to complete an estimate based upon the photos I has submitted and issue a check. The shop owner reviewed the estimate and the truck is now being worked on. The shop is well aware of the issues of hidden damage and the suplement process, should it be needed. The claims team was great about letting me know how the estimate process and payment works.

I look forward to being able to drive my truck at the end of the month.

I have never had to use this insurance. They have kept the premium with only slight increases in relation to the value of my car increasing. I have had this policy for 15 years.

Hagerty is easy to deal with and the premiums are very reasonable.

I needed a tow on the weekend. The company Hagerty called was from way outside my area and ridiculously overpriced. I had to pay the bill. I found out later that when I cancelled my magazine several years ago it also cancelled my roadside assistance. Never heard of this not being included in insurance. When my policy runs out I’ll move to a full service insurance company.

Well, I tried adding a new car to my policy, and after a seemingly endless and frustrating back and forth, it ended with a representative telling me that Hagerty was going to drop me. After almost 10 years you’re dropping me, then you thanked me for my loyalty, how rich.
And since that phone call, silence. I haven’t received anything or heard a thing. I have to call back yet again to be given my next surprise.
Disgraceful.
