Used this in a pub

Used this in a pub, really easy and a great service. Got charged £2 for 30 mins which was ideal. Got my deposit back in a couple of days.

The terms are pretty obvious, and I saw on the screen about the £25 deposit so not sure why others didn’t see that. Great product

Does the job

Does the job, you see a lot of people complaining about price etc. when you rent the power banks, you should read the screen. It will tell you everything you need to know like how much you pay for the time of the rental, it doesn’t come with a timer so you’ll have to manage the time yourself, also gives you the first 5 mins free! Not the fastest charging but when you’re desperate, it’s worth the price.
Got charged £2 for 30 mins and temp charge of £25 but still waiting for the £23 to be returned which isn’t the fastest.

Beware, expensive

Beware, they charge more than I expected. It partly charged the phone, but charged me £6, I only expected to pay £2. I only had the pack for an hour. They also put a pending charge of £19, which I'm assuming I will get back, since I returned the charger. Not great. I will do without the phone next time.

This was an amazing find

This was an amazing find. My battery is always running out and I hate carrying a power bank with me. Great product and great value which extended my night out.

Once the battery is returned and your rental is complete, the £25 pending charge will be released by your bank. At that point, you'll only be charged for the actual rental amount — there won’t be a separate refund from ChargedUp, since we only finalise the correct charge at the end.

Your deposit should have been refunded to you. If so, we're be grateful if you could update your review. But if not please do reach out to us so we can fix this for you.

I used this service in a pub in bishop…

I used this service in a pub in bishop stortford and I was told by the bar staff that it would cost me £2 to charge it for 30mins. I have checked my bank statment and it has changed me £25 !

Their website isn’t very user friendly for users of the charging service, it more leans to words company’s looking to put the chargers into their businesses.

I have what’s apped a customer services number I hope this will be resolved and I get a refund

I rented it yesterday and they took 25£…

I rented it yesterday and they took 25£ then I returned it after 1 hour but the screen of the machine showed only 0min but still didn’t get my £25 back. When it’s expected to come back?

Tried to return a battery which I had…

Tried to return a battery which I had found in lost property but told to return it at my own cost or throw it away so if anyone thinks this organisation is eco friendly, it definitely is not!

Overcharged

First time user, machine said it was £2 to rent a bank. I've been charged £10. Charger was in use for no more than 3 hours so even at £2 an hour I've been overcharged. Not happy. Tried getting support through website and it's just a chatbot with no real answers.

Had to help my friend recharge her…

Had to help my friend recharge her phone because it was dead I tapped and used my card. She returned it after 30 minutes and they took my £25, still haven’t gotten it back! It was my last £25 and I’m dealing with a lot of mental health issues. Taking the last amount of money I had left was awful . Because I was hungry and couldn’t even buy some food. I need my money back please

You’ll see this information on the touch screen after clicking ‘Click here to rent’.

Once your order is finalized and you return the battery, the initial £25 deposit will disappear from your pending transactions. Instead, you’ll see the final charge for the rental amount. So, you won’t see any refund coming from ChargedUp. The transaction from us is finalized straight away at the end of the rental, but it’s the banks that sometimes take longer to adjust it.

AVOID

I got charged £6, then £19 taken from my account, it was displayed as £2 to charge my phone , in DROUGHYS in Queen st Glasgow ,absolute scam!!

Wrongly charged!

Used and returned charging bank to Golden Fleece, York, but have been charged £29.90! I have photo evidence was returned too, but due to a faulty cable it may not have clicked right back in, would really appreciate a response & a refund please.

Easy to use even after a few drinks !!

Was so stressed the other day because my phone died while I was at the pub and I didn’t know how I was going to get home. Used charged up to charge my phone which was such a life saver!! Really easy to use even when you’ve had a few drinks
